Meet Alexandra- a multi-passionate writer, nurse, and aspiring midwife!

Alexandra has had a passion for writing since she was a child. She often spent her time writing fantasy stories and researching folklore for inspiration. With experience in anthropology, she came to understand and honor the importance of folklore cross culturally. She found a unique way to combine these interests in her upcoming book, Losing My Skin. Her debut novel is currently complete and undergoing its first round of beta reading. She is enjoying reading all of the positive feedback and excited to see which route of publishing she takes!

In addition to a passion for fantasy and personal narrative writing, Alexandra works as a registered nurse in both labor & delivery and forensics. She is also pursuing her Master’s of Science in Nursing in Nurse Midwifery and Women’s Health to become a certified nurse midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner. As a survivor of endometriosis, a chronic pelvic pain disorder, Alexandra advocates for increasing public awareness of this disease in her social media platforms. These interests are freckled throughout her writing.

When not pursuing her academic and professional aspirations, she loves spending time outdoors in sunny California with her husband and their rescue dog, Rex. She enjoys many forms of artistic expression such as water color painting, sketching, and tattooing. A fun fact about Alexandra is that she taught herself how to tattoo and has tattooed her husband (wedding band), herself (Saturn, stars, a heart, and her big three astrological signs), and her cousin (a penguin).
