Meet Alexandra

Alexandra has had a passion for writing since childhood, often filling notebooks with fantasy stories and researching folklore for inspiration. With a background in anthropology, she came to appreciate the cultural power of folklore. Today, her work reimagines folklore through a feminist lens, exploring women's health, chronic illness, and the women buried beneath myth. Her debut novel, Losing My Skin, is currently in edits with her indie publisher, and her growing collection of folklore-inspired short fiction is forthcoming in multiple literary magazines and anthologies.

Alexandra is also a Certified Nurse Midwife and endometriosis survivor, experiences that continue to shape her writing on women's health, chronic illness, and folklore.

When she’s not working or writing, she loves spending time outdoors in the Santa Cruz Mountains with her husband, daughter, and their rescue dog. She is also a yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner.
