Debut Novel - Losing My Skin

Currently editing with my publisher

In modern day New Orleans, Callan Casey is barely staying afloat. As her PhD thesis is derailed by chronic pain, her desperation leads her to a hypnotherapist and into a fractured world of memories that aren’t hers. As memories from someone else’s life begin to surface, Callan is forced to confront whether the visions are a psychological coping mechanism or something hauntingly real.

Eilidh is a selkie in the 11th century who has always despised the human world, but her coming-of-age ritual forces her to shed her skin and live among them. If she does not partake, her magic and very soul are the cost. When her fur is stolen, she is trapped on land and bound to the humans she grew to despise. With her magic and identity at risk of fading forever, she must find her skin before it is too late.

As their lives weave together, though centuries separate them, the two must confront the lengths they’ll go to reclaim what they’ve lost or risk their worlds unraveling.
